Welcome to Twenty Hills Publishing!

Twenty Hills is a small press publisher owned and run by Anne J. Hill. We work mostly with speculative fiction but are open to all genres, as long as the content follows our guidelines. We also help authors seeking to self-publish get connected to editors and audiobook narrators.

Currently, our queries are closed. The only way to publish with us at the moment is through our anthologies.

What services do we offer? Developmental, line, copy editing, proofreading, and novel narration.

Our mission is to offer a traditional publishing service for authors who just don't quite fit anywhere else. Do you write books that are clean compared to a lot of other books, but are also too gritty to be considered entirely clean? Do you enjoy writing multiple genres? Do you mix genres that classically don't belong together? Do you feel like your books just aren't conventional enough to fit anywhere else? Then Twenty Hills might be the publisher for you.

We take high-quality novels seriously, which results in stunning book covers, thorough and time-consuming edits, detailed formatting, and as much marketing as we can muster. We value honest and brutal feedback in order to make your novels as good as they can possibly be before hitting publish.

We only publish works with no sexual scenes (though they may be implied, and with some level of physical contact), violence and gore is acceptable, but no overly graphic violence depicted (but can be hinted at and explained just not in overt graphic detail), and most swearing is acceptable. We like to describe it as sexually clean, and semi-clean for everything else. We also hold the right to turn away manuscripts that go against personal beliefs of our team members.

Pop over to our Books tab to see what we've already published.

We hope you enjoy the ride!
